(Did you know veils were started to disguise the bride from former suitors on her way to the wedding? Former suitors seeing the bride was supposed to bring bad luck on the marriage.)

Sadly, the picture doesn't do this justice...at the moment, this beautiful amethyst necklace is at the top of the list of necklaces under consideration...

These are the shoes I hope to have the balance to wear. They're from England (thank you, Al Gore, for the Internet), where the sizes are smaller than the US, so I will get to say I wore a size 5 (!) shoe at my wedding.

This is a pair I ordered and kept in case the others didn't work out. I figure I'll hold on to them as back-up until after the wedding, then dye them.

These are the sneakers I'll put on when I admit I can't really walk in heels.
